I couldn’t get it to go off before with all the other issues so I assumed it was something else causing the problem. Need to do some more fault finding.
Thanks for the offer Stephen, I might have to take you up on that. It’s just odd why I can clear the codes and the light goes out but when you turn the ignition off and on again the faults come back.
I did read it was coded to the vehicle and I am hoping it’s not that because the code reader is picking up faults after the module if that’s how it works? I am getting pretty frustrated with it but I suppose that’s the joys of having an old project car.

Yea there is no history of any gearbox servicing. It looks fairly simple for an enthusiastic amateur It broke down today, running really rough, stalled a few times and the exhaust gases smell really bad. OBD suggests a vacuum leak or o2 sensor issue so I need to try and figure that out.
