I couldn't give a XXXX what you do with your tomatoes =)) I know it's not Castlemaine, but allow me some slack :)

    Rebody 507 Tribute Build thread

Yes. The black plate thing is an "interesting" one. When the 40 year rolling classic tax thing came into force, the 40 year started in 1973. Black plates were legal on pre-73 cars, so many people assumed (wrongly) that they were included in the rolling year thing - they are not. You can have...

Patina is real. Shiny is fake. Ask any forger - the hardest thing to replicate is age.

Rebody After a lot of thinking

You'd love my Range Rover. Thank goodness it has double glazing. It's near silent on the inside, but sounds like a Challenger 2 squeeking along Belgian pavé on the outside =)) .

Rebody After a lot of thinking

What parts are you thinking about? We will be going to the Le Mans Classic in a FFRR (Full Fat Range Rover) and my kit car. We won't have loads of space for spares, but we could carry some - and we have a legitimate reason to be carrying them ;) . Obviously, I can't carry any body parts, but...

    Rebody Z3 2.8 Based Ferrari 250 Build

Do you still have the boot lock? My M Roadster car can be locked from any of the three external locks. My kit car had the electrics to the door locks disconnected, but the boot lock still has the electrics. I'm sure if I reconnected the main door electrics (and overcame the deadlock problem...

    Rebody Z3 2.8 Based Ferrari 250 Build

Are you still able to use a key to lock the car? If so, use that. It won't set the alarm. Any aftermarket alarm will work, but may need to be professionally installed to satisfy the insurers. I have a VIPER alarm, but that was on the car before I got it.

It must have been all those pats on the head for being a good boy :) You're not Gunner Sugden, are you?

    Bella is Broken!!!

We had a body language and behavioral expert tell us a story about Abilene... The mom, dad, two kids and the grandparents go to Abilene every summer. The kids hate it, but don't want to upset their folks, so say they love it. The mom and dad hate it, but go because the kids say they love it...

    Z3 RACE CAR @Silverstone

Unfortunately, I'll be in Scotland on a Z Run with a few other cars - otherwise I'd love to have popped along. What are the other events this year?

    Z3 RACE CAR @Silverstone

Does the dash console have to be there? I know it covers up loads of wiring and keeps things tidy, but I'd get rid of all the weight I could. Same goes for the heater under it if that's still there. [edit] I zoomed in and could see that you have switches on the dash, so something needs to be...

Rebody 250 California build thread for dummies

Two things that I noticed on that blue car at the Nottingham show... The petrol flap was the same as yours. A very clever design that can only be opened when the driver's door is opened. His dash and cam covers were sprayed with that wrinkle paint. He told me that there is an art to getting...

    It is with huge sorrow.....

My thoughts, and I'm sure the thoughts of many on here. The internet is full of people we do not meet, yet whose knowledge, humour and wisdom we appreciate. t-Tony was one such person. A sad day.

Help with new suspension parts please

I didn't do it. It was done by Classis Coachworks when they did the body. The problem will always be access to the top mounts. Everything should be pretty straightforward as long as you can access the top mount nuts.

Help with new suspension parts please

I had to use BC coilovers as nothing else would lower the car enough. They come with adjustable dampers which can be set quite soft, or rock hard. You can also get adjustable camber plates, or adjustable camber and caster plates for the front.

    Rear diff

The handbrake mechanism at the bottom of the hub plate is very close tolerance to the drum of the disc. There's often an rubbing sound from that area. The sound is usually like a regular quiet whistle that is in time with wheel rotation.

Write Up North Notts Car Show,Thoresby Hall

You must have all gone by the time I got there, but I had a nice chat with the guy who owns this... Although I don't approve of all the Ferrari logos, I think he has done a superb job of faking it. I paid my £5, and I'm now a member of the Italian Replica Club, so I may take the Z75 out to a...

Event Notts Classic Car/ Sportscar and Motorbike Show, Monday 5th May.

Bluey is on the road. I've just taxed it. I don't work on bank holidays - one of my few days off.. The stars are aligning. I just need to remember to go before I get stuck into another project on Monday. :)

Looking for a little one-handed polisher?

I'm amazed at the sobriety in this thread. Time for me to visit mumsnet. The lack of immaturity on here has crossed the line. :ymdevil:
