Anyone selling them? Looking for the under-the-seat brackets, clamps (or equivalent), plus the fire extinguisher. Thank you.

We have two extinguishers, neither of which work. I have spoken to the Fire extinguisher company our car club uses and they don’t want to touch them as they don’t have gauges.
If you shake them, you should hear and feel the powder move, as long as it doesn’t go “clunk, clunk”. All depends on whether it then has pressure.

Me?
No, no brackets, my lads has just said he threw the spare ext out as it was solid.
I made brackets to fit the seat that takes a new modern extinguisher with a gauge.
I’ll have a look at the weekend, I’m sure I made a spare.

I used an extinguisher on a mini many years ago …. had no effect on the fire in the engine and the whole car ended up in flames … till the fire engine turned up … but too late to save it 😂😂😂😂

Powder fire extinguishers are tricky, the powder condenses over time. Worth turning them upside down now and again, or shaking them. You should hear the powder drop or move, if there’s no sound, or a clunk, it’s completely solidified and is useless. They can lose pressure over time, so a gauge is really essential.
To use one, you get in close to the base and sweep side to side vigorously. Possible to put out quite a serious fire with a small extinguisher with practice. Reignition is likely, powder puts it out but doesn’t cool.

If you ever do have to use one, stay upwind if at all possible, powder is a superb laxative, you’re going to be Very Regular. For a Week.

I do have that bracket, it would need rivnuts inserted into the seat, designed to hold a 2kg extinguisher.

I have loads of rivnuts if you need a couple, and you can fit them without the proper tool just by using a long hex head bolt and a couple of washers and nuts.
If you go that route then pm me with your address and what size rivnuts you need and I’ll stick them in the post.

Don’t think it needs rivnuts as far as I remember..two plates on the frame bolt to each other. I took it off when the seat was out which made things a lot easier
