A serial game too mate
Yep, good job there was a tree nearby that could lend a branch =))

Well, a couple months ago I finally ripped out the self locking, PITA, annoying aftermarket alarm and retrofitted the OEM remote central locking alarm along with the brick remote fob. So all good now.
Good fun retrofitting the OEM system as I had to install the complete wiring loom, module, receiver and then programme a couple of fobs.

Yep. The naff central locking aftermarket alarm locked the doors after a minute of the car engine running. Problem was, the car engine was running and I popped back into the hotel to get something and shut the door. The alarm then decided to lock the doors whilst the engine was running and nobody was in it. So needed to get a long pointy stick to wedge between the window top and roof to press the window button to get the window down and then able to get back in the car.

Been there and done that with a Clio I used to own. Aftermarket alarm, engine running, got out and shut the door for some reason and next minute locked out with no spare key :banghead:

I had a 98 Mondeo est. many years ago and I only got 1 key with it and as the price of a new one scared the crap out of me I decided to live with the one. However the central locking did play up now and again but only in so far as it wouldn't unlock the car onthe button but the key would open the drivers door. There was a "Re set" button up under the dash you could use and then it was ok for ages.

Had that problem with a 3 series BMW.
