Hi all, I have a 1999 Z3 2.8 which i have owned for 3 years. I bought it off a mate who was moving overseas. On his leaving do we all went to a wine tasting evening. Things got messy and at some point in the evening I agreed to buy it from him. In the morning my wife asked me how much we had spent. Three grand I told her!!!
Anyway it failed its MOT last month and I was told it needed extensive welding and that it wasn't really worth doing considering the value of the car.
Someone at my work is into stock car racing and he did the welding for me. The car is now MOT'd and back on the road. I have decided to keep it and do it up gradually as time and money affords.
