Hi guys I'm looking for advice as I'm so rusty and not worked on bmw,s for a long time .. I don't own a z3 but my best mat e does .. he is unfortunately 4.500 miles away and needs my help .. I've always sorted his cars for over a 30 Yr friendship but am struggling with this one ..
He is a capable DIY mechanic but is being driven to disillusion with his z .. I need help and advice with his problem ..

He has purchased a z3 2.8 .. one of a few he and his wife have owned ..over a given period of a few year in a few counties .. but this one is there retirement z3 .. and its special .. its a 2.8 with a supercharger .. they purchased this with love in there hearts .. rightly so .. off a very wealthy guy who has loved it and spent very heavily on the car. To a very hi spec .. but it has a few gremlins that need eradication ..
I flew out in Jan to visit and was very surprised at the vehicle and all the work you could see had been done.. its a total gem .. but had a few gremlins I couldn't sort .. so it's eating away at me and them and I need help on this

Probably one for the tuners amongst you and the purists will hate me .. but a great car in great condition ..
Trust me I did over 25 yrs in the game .. loved cars so much .. I know with the help of a decent crew of bmw lovers I can get the right advice.
But my knolage of bmw is limited.. I worked on loads on the 90s /millennium years ..but that said I'm rusty .. and the old brain has lost a few cells
