Agreed, but not yesterday. Pleasant balmy day . . .Normally windy up there too, well, it always has been when I've been there.
From Emley Moor (you can see the mast if you zoom in), you can see across to Hull on a clear day (you could see the power stations along the M62). It was very nearly that . . .
Got chatting to a young lad from Rotherham who was there with a slightly sad looking yellow MGB GT. Riddled with rust, think it was only the paint holding it together in places. He had 2 replacement wings at home, but bought the car to teach himself to weld and paint. It's his second car attempt, the first was too far gone apparently. I suspect it will also be a lost cause, but there's a level of enterprise not seen very often . . .
