I put the exhaust back to standard (it was a wee bit loud 
) and took it for its MOT.
Dash and darn it, the damned thing failed on CO emissions (0.770). Max allowable is 0.300.
Luckily, my guess was right and a good blast to reset the adaptions was all that was needed
. That, and the fact that his meter was reading ZERO on the CO scale
