Fingers crossed. Though using Halfords might come back and haunt me. I have become disillusioned with my local garages and had excellent service this year at Halfords for my Z4 as well as other cars. Had some vouchers to get a free MOT. The adjustment/clean should cost £35 and I can get 15% off stuff. If thats all it is then Im happy. However if they say it needs blah blah blah then I will bring it home to sort with @colb

Car drove really well also, first time out in a year and a front refresh. Chalk and cheese to the Z4 but the drive back made me fall for it again

First photos look pretty decent to me…
It's had £500 spent on it, sills, front suspension arms etc over the last year since it's last fail. Was gutted it failed for something else, especially as I had a smile on my face driving it for the first time today since last May.

☹

1 year repair free would be lovely.

Mine has hammered my wallet for thousands and will continue to hammer it for more. I’ll be needing to do sills soon too.

Just stripped the sills and front suspension of mine , do you need a special tool to change the lollipops on the bottom arms?

We used a clamp to put them on that @colb made, otherwise it's apparently a hernia inducing job.

One year repair free would be nice. Highly unlikely, but nice thought😂

A bearing separator type puller pulls them off easily.
Using silicone grease as a lube, new ones slide on easily. I would only ever use the solid type, they last so much longer, handle better and are no more expensive.

Mine didn't slide on easily at all, we did try. Maybe we could have been more persistent before we resorted to the clamp. As we were changing the arms we didn't have to get them off.
