Hello. My introduction is here: https://www.zroadster.org/threads/greetings-from-finland.76631/#post-943173

I have not posted in few days since I have tried to think if I should post in progress section or the Z3 Roadster / Coupe section. I am sure I selected wrong but here goes nothing.

Five years ago I designed first pair, and I did not even have my own 3D-printer so first interested customer in Norway printed the first prototype pair, and he ran that year with my brake cooling parts, and won championship in his class in track series.

After that I have both manufactured and sold as print files quite a lot more. Further Development has also happened in multiple stages, making products better and better. That being said the first ones has already lots of design work in them, I did to my car the first parts into ramair use, and after 5 years and 50000km of driving, I sold the to next one into Czech Republic where they continue use in someone elses car.

Wast majority I have provided to USA, to 50 states there, simply because I hate doing anykind of marketing and I have only written about the products in one topic in Bimmerforums which has mainly American users. I would like more people to know that these even exist in Europe, so this is why I am in UK forum now.

Here are some more photos from European customers, ofcourse they also fit all engine models of Z3 Roadsters, and I have also alternative product made lately to Z3M.

76mm / 3” version in brake cooling use:

102mm / 4” version in USA spec:

In RamAir use you would use only intake side, and I have block off panel to exhaust side, but sometimes it is useful also to have larger 102mm / 4” version to both sides. For example in V8 or V10 swapped car to feed both intakes, or turbo charged cars where intake is on exhaust side, and on other side might be oil cooler, 2 different mesh version without vent exist too, in case filter comes down to bumper area and you have inter cooler pipes that would othervise hit the vent.

76mm/3” brake cooling in heavier use on hot track temps in Atlanta:

Also 2 different style meshed versions have been done , they are bit trickier to print and rarer thankfully, but I can sell them if wanted both ready made and in STL-files too. Here shown in 1996 1.8 Z3 Roadster.

The 1.8 has different front bumper, slightly different shape foglight opening and larger screw cover plate next to it, but fitment is still very good. In other models fitment is absolutely perfect. Here first year only 1.8 fitment in detail:

In RamAir use I did make first 3” version that in my own car added a bit compared to stock airbox. There are some scientific studies done where remarkable gains were found in USA even with not optimal airfilter selection with the parts. Now with new 4” version the gains are very notable in engine breathing through the rev range and then additional real ramair effect at speed. Idea is to bring effortlessly high velocity pressure cold air directly to airfilter that is enclosed from hot air in engine bay:

Here in my own extremely dirty car the new 102mm/4” RamAir version in detail when I installed it. Intake side:

Working carbon front splitter / underside wing is also my design and available, more of it maybe in some other post or topic.

Exhaust side has block off panel with very subdued logo, that can only be seen from very close up and in light.

Install of 76mm / 3” does not need neccessarily removing intake side wheel, but can be advisable. For 102mm / 4” RamAir you would be vise to do it, since it is hard to fit it with hose connected through the foglight opening. I would maybe advice all to remove front wheel and peel back front wheel arch liner half way back.
Again sorry for super dirty car here. I drive dirt roads to cottage often.

Upper part is mounted from engine bay, it is logical how to install when you have bonnet open and part in hand.
But I have one minute install video for those who might need.

Here is upper part seen with hose already in, hose has orange interior just to see it better. Horn is inside the bumper and can be easily relocated similarly to my car.
It has only one bolt that needs to be opened, and it is in taped cable harness with side indicator light, simply peeling back tape you can separate those cables and get more than enough lenght to bring horn inside. It can also be left in bumper and either mildly bend the holder which is piece of metal strip, or loosen the bolt and turn the horn 90°, that works too.

This carbon enclosure and filter can be easily added if you want similar to mine, I will link you up to it’s maker in France.

Full air path is so much wider than stock air box route that takes air from small panel gap between headlight and bonnet. In my system also that route is enabled.

I also have Z3M system that looks totally stock but has 288% more air volume potential than stock.
More of those and individual parts in next post.

Thanks,

Some of the parts developed and ready to be manufactured. Lead time is 1-2 days from payment. Lightweight smooth innerwall hose is never delivered with parts, it is always many times more economical to purchase locally.

Systems to any Z3 or Z3M which has installed 1.8 - 3.0 front bumper (not Z3 aero, nor Z3M bumper):

76mm / 3" Pair for brake cooling use, Use by directly bringing air with hose through the wheel liner, or more advanced, pipe it to any of the many available E36 Brake Cooling shields that has 3" hose size generally.

Prices:
180€ ready made pair + shipping
35€ 3D-print files for personal use

I had more photos in this post but apparently post has maximum limit of images so I can add more into following posts if needed.

I do not have webshop, I do every order personally tailored to your needs and wants. Everything is manufactured from order. How to reach me?

What ever suits you best.
I have done lots of special one off parts to interesting cars, for example early in development to worlds most powerful 1380hp Turbo Z3M Coupe, S54 CSL Swapped E30 DTM Racecar with winning race history, frame in acid bath up built E36 M3 BMW Motorsport Chassis with Supercharged S54, Ex Juha Kankkunen 1980's WRC Subaru with full carbon body, sequential and faster than LaFerrari from 0-200, etc, etc, etc... I am also only Design for Additive Manufacturing guy in Finnish Space group. I am just as happy to deliver you 200th pair of personally made 3" Z3 vents that have been honed for over 100 hours in cad already. Or engineer ground up with you one off parts just to your car's needs. If you have something interesting brewing, contact me and lets invent out performing parts to your special car. Happy to help. I am super small entrepreneur but this is my dream field to work on. Most often in special needs your engine bay can be easily scanned by yourself with easy and free mobile app, then send me created link from that, and few days later we have came to end result that is printed form Nylon, or hand made form carbon fiber or printed from aluminium, titanium, stainless or inconel. Or combination of all of those to give you an unfair advantage or just the unmatched enjoyment on British B-road on sunny day.

I hate spamming, I hate doing marketing but after 5 plus years of developing parts to these cars this is second ever forum where I post, so I really hope you do not mind. I love global Z3 community, 17,5 years into clown-shoe ownership I have never had bad experience. Great bunch of people regardless of country.

Best Regards
