Welcome from near Lincoln Alan, mine's Z4 3.0, I bought it last year with 16,500 miles. Can't fault it, love the car, still have a Z3 2.0 Auto to sell.
My late father -in-law was a Rover man back in the day he had 2 P5's.Where are you located ?

Hi Alan, I just edited my post, father -in-law's cars were P5's not P6's. When I started going out with my wife he had a blue F reg, 1968 3.5 coupe and had just finished rebuilding a 1972 coupe in maroon with white leather interior, this car was only a few weeks old when it was rolled several times. Reg bought it and rebuilt it. It was a gorgeous car and it survived until 1980 when it was destroyed in a fire at the in laws business 4 days before we got married, it was going to be the bridal car too. Guess it wasn't meant to last forever that one.

Tony.

36 years wed this July Alan, so I guess that's working.;) You wont go far wrong with a Z4 or a Z3 for that matter. I love my Z3 but I wanted something with a little more under my right foot, and as it's my daily driver and even though it's only 3 years newer than my Z3 it is a bit more refined and comfortable. If you put the last 7 digits of the Vin no. into the Vin. decoder it will list all the options that it left the factory with and paint code, build date etc. if you're interested in that.

Watch for any warning lights on the dashboard, E85 Z4 2.0l engines have a history of cracks appearing in the exhaust manifold, which is extremely costly to repair. The tubular exhaust manifolds are made of stainless steel. If buying from a dealer get a written guarantee on the Manifold. The engine management warning light can be switched off but usually comes back on within 140 miles if the exhaust is cracked.
