WTF has that got to do with Jesus being crucified then resurrecting from the dead?
I thought Easter was a religious thing, not a hippie one. Admittedly it is owned by chocolate manufacturers nowadays, so the date is immaterial.

Jesus didn't come to jerusalem to celebrate easter. He wasn't a christian. He was a Jew. He came to jerusalem to celebrate passover. That's when jews celebrate the israelites fleeing from slavery in Egypt. That great escape is somehow connected to (ie before, during or after) a full moon So it stands to reason that the jewish celebration of passover would be the same moon thing (ie not a specific date).WTF has that got to do with Jesus being crucified then resurrecting from the dead?

As you can probably tell, I'm not a massive one for religion.Jesus didn't come to jerusalem to celebrate easter. He wasn't a christian. He was a Jew. He came to jerusalem to celebrate passover. Of course we all know that Jesus's passover celebration didn't end well. But his followers made the best of it and years later people converting to christianity still liked the idea of that passover party so they said hey. Let's celebrate passover but we'll call it something else.
