Hi all, thinking about buying a 2006 z4, the car has no batteries and he said the ignition switch is bad so he can not turn it on so we can see the mileage or scan for any code. He has a key which according to him if batteries installed will lock and unlock the doors. Question here is if I take a battery with me how can I turn the ignition to see the mileage and scan with INPA? I’m even willing to take an ignition switch with me. I will post couple of pics shortly.

A saying with the words 'touch' and 'bargepole' springs to mind!
Exactly. In the UK I think I would be notifying the Police if I went to view that car.

Then I wouldn't have gone to view that car, anyway!

Walk away from that it will be a money pit, far better out there just take your time looking.

I agree with all the above, I'd pass on this one. There must be a few for sale in Texas;)
