As above , my computer reads -40 which apparently is a common error, looked inside the access panel and the wires had been joined previously.
I resoldered the joints and tried again , still the same reading , tried a new sensor and exactly the same, any thoughts ?

Bumping this as I’ve put this on the Z4 forum and had no response.
Did the above previously and made no difference, had another look today and traced the loom back into the inner wing upto the air box th check for breaks in the wiring, nothing.
Cut and resoldered the two wires again but it still reads -40 nothing changes when you clear the fault, it’s been suggested that joining the two wires together should get a response from the reading on the dash but does nothing for mine.
Anyone have any ideas as it’s driving me nuts as it’s the only fault when I scan the car !

Thanks for the link Phil , unfortunately nothing relevant to my problem, most just seem to have lost there’s from scraping on speed bumps and the like , wish it were as easy as just replacing a missing sensor!
