Hi and welcome from me in South Ayrshire :welcome:.
What side of the city are you on
@Scooblitz is on the south side I help Stevie with some of the work on his zed so if you're ever needing a dig out with something give me a shout happy to help :).
I reckon there is a fair chance that your zed will be an ' individual ' model ( if so will have another individual model chassis plate on the nearside inner wing across from the other one on the drivers side) if so welcome to becoming an individual model owner my Dakar zed is also one so is @Mint Aegean blue zed .

Stephen.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Had a look Stephen and there is an individual plate exactly as you said. Looks like I've come to the right place for good friendly advice on my zed. AndyIndividual plate.jpg

Hi Andy and welcome from me in Oxfordshire. Good to take the sills off to see if they can be salvaged but new ones as said not to pricey a bit hard to find decent secondhand ones to spray up. Also gives the opportunity to check the chassis for any rust to treat. Usual things that wear out are the rear beam and diff carrier bushes and dampers if original get tired after 60k. I’m sure the guys near you will steer you right. There’s also the Scottish run out if you look in the events section to look forward to.

Welcome @Andy 4D . You have certainly come to the right place for Z knowledge and community. Looks as though you have uncovered a bit of treasure with that Agean Blue Z. I am probably not for away from you. I live in Shawlands. Hopefully get meet up soon at an event. Get some pictures up of the Z so we can have a right good nosey, perhaps make a progress thread in the sections. Would be great to find out what plans you have for the car.

Here's a few more picture of the car. Haven't really done much other than a wash and clean up as I've only had herIMG_6585.jpg IMG_6586.jpg a couple of weeks and the weathers been sh*t. Planning to change the diff oil and fix the rocking passenger seat in the next few weeks but there's no hurry, it's a work in progress.

Hi Tony, I'm based in Glasgow but bought the car in the Manchester area. I think it lived its early life in the Torquay area then Greater London. It's a bit tatty but seems solid with just a little rust on the sills. I've always wanted a convertible and this looked like a good project to tinker with.
Hi Andy and welcome from me. The cosmetic stuff can always be rectified; it looks a great car and sound.

Hi @Andy 4D, :welcome: to the forum from me too in Staffordshire. The other Aegean Blue with Lotus White interior owner -

Hi there, I've been looking at the spec on my car based on the VIN and the interior colour is actually "Walknappa Champagner" and not the Lotus white as we previously thought. The leather is just a little more on the cream side with black piping, so looks like you're still the only one with that colour combo. Andy

Close then Andy, mine is : Leder Cameleon / Lotosweiss. Also mine is different to yours in that mine's a Sport as well as an Individual.
There are still not many Aegean Blues about though, it's only you and I know how to spell it;). There are some on here who call it Ageing Blue....for some reason:D

It really is a treasure. Walknappa is the fanciest leather available if i am not mistaken. Your car has been custom specified, most likely by an "individual" who picked up the brochure and decided to pick some nice items.

@Andy 4D Have a look at this site if you have not found it yet. Some nice info on what you have bought.

Hi Andy I was looking at your vin decode your zed has quite a nice spec out of what it came with from factory the question I was going to ask is does it still have the original floor mats .
As they ( going by its spec ) were special order ones so limited edition and probably not available any more .

Hi Stephen, no I’m afraid it doesn’t have the original mats, they look like pretty cheap aftermarket ones. The aircon and heated seats still work though!!....guess you can’t have everything. Andy

Shame as your zed came with anthracite velour mats with champagne trim would be nice if they were still there

You will have to look after your walknappa seats
I also have walknappa ( black with yellow piping)
Fiji edition z3 also come with a bespoke pattern walknappa seats and I have seen a few of them with the seats spilt open .

As such i regularly treat the seats with Autoglym leather conditioner ( other products are available ) to keep my leather supple and moisturized hopefully to prevent this damage occurring

Yes I was a bit concerned about the seats, they're not damaged but felt they could do with a bit of leather care. I've tried Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather 3in1, it seemed to get good reviews but if you think the Autoglym product is better I'll maybe try that.
