Do a lot of flights in the BEA 146, small jet so any buffeting is much more pronouncedModern planes are designed to ‘flex’ to such an extent that it looks like they would snap into fragments. The new Airbus A350 looks crazy on takeoff and landing. That A380 must handle like a barge in strong winds with that amount of sail area. Crazy but skilled pilots and former service guys seem to be the best.
Years ago I used to go to Milan on a Jetstream 31.....it felt like it was flying through the Alps rather than over them. They would open the cockpit door for landing and watching the pilot fight with it when it was windy was an experienceDo a lot of flights in the BEA 146, small jet so any buffeting is much more pronounced![]()
