High temperature here today is 96°f. I had to take the z3 out of my shop so my daughter could remove stuff they had stored. I put the thermometer in the car , on the console, and in 10 minutes it registered 125°. It topped out at 130+. I hope my a/c doesn't die!! It doesn't help that the car is black , with lots of black inside...

Sun and black dont mix well, plus they're an arse to keep clean.
The Z3 does get awfully hot inside if the roof and windows are closed.
I tend to drop both windows on a hot day with the roof up, works out not so bad..ish

I usually lower the windows about halfway, if I leave it in the driveway, but I've been keeping it in my shop most of the time, until I need to go somewhere.

I'm in Italy at the moment and I thought it was hot at 35°c! Keep switching between roof up and down when driving as i'm finding it to hot lol! But being from damp dreary England i'm not climatised to these exotic temperatures 🤣

Forecast is for 40c in the south of England this week.

My a/c started blowing hot air on my way home from shopping...I hope it just needs recharging. It's been not blowing as cold the past week or so, hopefully that's all it is...

The worst possible scenario has occurred. The triple digits temps are here for likely the next 2 months, and yesterday the Z3 overheated. I shut it down before it got all the way in the red. managed to get it home and after it cooled down I opened the cap and the resservoir waz empty. Filled it up with anti freeze , and ran the engine up to.temp , all looked fine. Later I drove to the store for milk, and it started to run hot again. The plastic overrflow tank appears low, I'm wondering if I have a leak in a hose. My other car is in the shop replacing the engine, so at the moment I'm afoot...😕

Is it a 1.9?

The M44 is very sensitive to air in the cooling system. If you have no leaks, could be the problem following topping up.!

I did all the usual thingscto check started cold with cap off, no bubbles., no milky oil, no smoke at all from the tail pipe. I don't believe it's a blown head gasket. There was also no loss of power and the temp stabilized between normal and full hot. The only other time I had a blown head gasket there was lots of smoke, the car lost power and the temp went completely into the red in seconds.
