I agree. On my tour with my TR last Sunday one of the 160 cars on display in Lynmouth was a Z4 with electric roof and they look very tidy at the back when roof is down and a great movement opening and shutting roof.
Got another tour to do this Sunday with my TR4 for the West Somerset railway ending up on display at the station. weather looks to be OK, but a bit wet this morning.

When I said "windshield" i was thinking of my own netting type one that attaches to the two fastenings behind the seats.

As for that video on how to fit it oh so easy!!!! don't make me laugh! it didn't work like that on mine, perhaps mine as gone a bit more rigid with age but no way on earth would mine go on like that. It takes two of us (my wife and I) a good 2 to 3 minutes of pulling, tugging and swearing to fit it.

You need to fold the ends in first. Makes the job easy peasy.

You guys must be lucky! mine will not go on that way at all. When I first got the car it took ages to figure out how to fit it, so I looked on the internet to find an easier way, I actually found that vid. I said to my wife come on let's have a go, it's easy using the correct method. 30 MINUTES later we threw it in the boot and drove off without it swearing and cursing.

The first bit went easy, but the side bits would not open up and fit into the correct place, it would not slide down into the small gap between the roll bars and the car body. I find it has to be fed into that gap then bent over to the mounting points. Like I said, perhaps mine is stiff with age but it resembles a piece of plywood and will not go were you want it to.

That said, I do like to use it, the car looks a lot better with it on.

Never used mine in the six years I owned the car, they are a pain in the butt.
Put it on, park up, take it off to put the roof up, put it back on etc....
Go on holiday, where you might actually use it, where you going to put it if your boot is full of luggage?

Any how, did not take the hardtop off for the first three years...

I have purchased it and it is on its way due late Thursday/Friday.
2 others that I was watching on Ebay both with marks/damage one went for £118 and the other £129 so £75 in mint condition is a bargin

Came this morning and it is new and unused and a bit stiff.
The video that you sent Mike the chap does not push home the two middle fixings he just locates them. I put them on first,after locating them then pushing them home clicking into position the nearside was hard,then clicking home the outer ones its a bit of mucking about but should get easier after being used a few times.
It finishes it off nice so I am very please with my very good buy (better than those on Ebaythat had damage),

Hi, yes attach the center pair first, but it certainly isn't easy. Most of the time I just don't bother with it.
