It may be that I am getting old, but I find a Mk11 Cortina much more interesting than any modern Italian or German exotica these days.
Must be the nostalgia kicking in. I find myself looking at 'Stags and Jags' for sale rather than 911s now.
As I walked around the show I looked at the Z4M coupe and thought it's nice but it just blended in with everything else.
That's when I realised for me it's become less about the performance, technology and aesthetics and more about the experience.
Weather asside I reckon that's why I currently prefer the E89 over the E86 - with the top down element being a big part of the experience.
Of all the cars I looked at yesterday the 1927 Alvis 12/50 SD is the one I came away wishing I could have driven - that's the first time I've ever thought that way about a car of that era.
Guess it's true what they say - "the only constant is change"
