As we know, our cars are hardy wee things and I’m wondering what sort of mileage their engines do until they decide to call it a day. Anyone know? Has anyone’s Z3 done 200,000 plus miles? 300,000 miles with the engine still going strong?
The car will be fineYep, my 2.2 is now on 225285 miles. I hope posting this doesn't spell trouble for our upcoming Euro trip![]()

Same here. My Z3 has just gone over 55,000. It has done 400 miles in the past 12 months. So at that rate it will take 112 years to get to 100,000.Having just clocked 18,000 in my 2001 3.0..I feel I be long time dead when it reaches anything near 6 figures !
Very impressive, Andy, and sound advice. My E32 730i has done 316,000. Original engine, and the first clutch lasted until 313,000.
Regular oil changes and careful use is the key.
