November last year, £176 Esure which is inclusive of £38 Breakdown Assistance (AA). Max no claims, not protected, named 2nd driver (not that she does, but, well . . . pub), basic cover for me to drive other vehicles. Rural village, garaged at night. I just Martin Lewis it, last few years been flipping between AA & LV. Never claimed, so no real idea if they (or anyone else) are any good or not.

15 plate E89 so that may not help you, as they get older probably switching to specialist insurers with agreed-value type policies is better. Thats different pricing structure, someone will be along in a minim with a possibly more useful post, but for what its worth / if it helps . . ,

Thanks AleNod. I don't think my car is old enough for agreed value cover, but will try many thanks

Any Z3 is 'old enough' for agreed value, it normally means using a company that will give 'classic car' cover and depends on the condition of the car. I've just insured my 2004 Z4 with Adrian Flux ins including agreed value.

I personally started with what I paid for it and have been slowly raising it each year.
You can ask what you won’t but they assess your photo’s and tell you there value but I have been happy each time.

I recently insured with Adrian Flux with an agreed value. I just looked at all the selling sites to see what a car like mine would cost to replace. Obviously it's just a guide, but it gives an idea.

The problem with insurance is that it's a postcode lottery. If they deem you to live in a risky inner city area, you will pay more than someone in a rural location.
