Hi all just joined the forum as I've purchased a Z3
Just wondering is it compulsory to fit a seat belt guide to my passenger seat on my 1999 Z3 ? is the guide there to stop the side of my leather passenger seat from scruffing or will it hinder the safety of the belt

Top one is the standard guide that should be factory fitted
lower one are clip-ons that stop the guides breaking as they can be a bit fragile. Yes they are worth getting IMO

Its there for convenience not safety it adds nothing to the seatbelt performance, just makes the belt easy to grab hold of.

Thanks l have seen some of the dreadfully ways in which people have tried to( fit the replacement guides resorting to drill out and fit with self tapping screws and others having to restitch leather seats etc on you tube )so have decided to not bother replacing the passenger seatbelt guide as at least it looks neat and tidy as it is! Many thanks
