By the way @Brian H do you have any idea yet of the likley areas we will get to tour. for example west coast, north of Inverness or all south of Inverness, Cairngorms, Trossacks . From previous visits I know there are a lot of differing sceneries and roads and am looking forward to it whatever you plan.
West coast mainly Duncan, we will cover a fair few miles each day and hopefully you will see some of the beauty we have to share. I am not venturing as far North as Inverness on this trip - I think to do Inverness North would need a base a little further up the country, perhaps another year?

Yes - still ok for us.

Brian - Are you going to publish the routes?

Interested more in Sunday's route, as we will be leaving you at some point, so just want to work out the best place & onward travel distance/time.

Thanks
Dave

Hi, Duncan great news indeed, no times have been planned for the onward journey as yet, who's hotel is further up the country to meet at?:)
I think it is you we are more west so have to travel back to the main route up and @zedwheels is south of both groups. depending on what time you are planning we could get together Thursday night as well. @Nutty_Hazel and I are probably travelling up early so we can do a little in the Lakes area and end up at our hotel book in and hook up with @MikeE89 then think about evening meal, which could be anywhere that the price is good, your hotel is only 10 to 15 minutes from us.

That is great, last year in the Saab with friends went to Oban then Trossacks, Fort William and back to Edinburgh in one day, far too many miles for the day but we socialised in the car. The West Coast will be great the roads will be fantastic and sooo pretty! I hope you personally enjoy it as much as I have some of the west country ones. Oh and just know we ALL are just so grateful for the chance to do this we just need people to make the suggestion and be the catalyst, then these things can happen. It is great the number that now take place in Zroadster.org by so many different people, but everyone of us gets nervous no matter how many we have done, but that is healthy as that way we do enough planning to make it work.

Hi guys! Thought I would make contact with the Mints and Bazza who are residing at the Premiere Inn Penrith and ask about the meet up
time for the Friday morning with Duncan? We are about a half hour drive away and would like our breakfast before setting off up to meet you, so do you have any thoughts about what time your planning on setting off for the drive north? I have your hotel post code as CA11 0DT
and it may be a good idea to exchange mobile numbers in case of unforeseen circumstances. By PM ofcourse!

So,
The long haul North should take me almost all day, well at least an hour anyway!

I think a nice wee coffee stop somewhere on the lochside will certainly work for me!

Just an update to the southern travellers. I and My co-pilot @Nutty_Hazel are leaving North Devon really early on Thursday morning planning to be through Bristol before 08:30 then a stop at a friends in Stockport for a cuppa then we are planning to tour the Lake District and end up at the Troutbeck Inn post code CA11 0SJ for the Thursday evening meet up with @MikeE89 and Rachel then Friday Morning we have breakfast included if I remember right (I am sure I checked) and the drive to the Premier Inn Penrith is about 14 minutes for us from the Troutbeck Inn, Google says it is just under 10 miles.

The Trip from The Premier Inn Penrith to Crailarich is about 170 miles which is forecast as 3 hours on Google maps using the A74(M) so I suspect a few detours to take in nice views in order to be there in time for the booking in process and being ready for the evening festivities.

So yes a suggested time to catch up with @Bazza and @Mint would be great! Thanks @zedwheels
